Frequently Asked Questions

What Types of Payment/Insurance Do You Accept?

I am an out of network provider.

Please contact your insurance company to determine whether they will provide reimbursement for my services as an out of network provider. I am happy to submit all paperwork for out-of-network claims on your behalf so that you may be reimbursed by your insurance carrier at their determined rate.

To learn more about your out of network benefits, call your insurance provider and ask 4 questions:

1. Do I have out-of-network behavior health benefits?

2. What is my deductible?

3. What percentage will be reimbursed after my deductible is met?

4. Will you cover out of network Telehealth?

I accept cash, credit cards and payment through Zelle.

My standard treatment fee for individual psychotherapy sessions is $175.

What Can I Expect to Happen at the First Session?

Our initial session will involve an intake interview that consists of completing paperwork, discussing your concerns, and reviewing relevant history and background information.

Based on this intake, I will make recommendations with respect to treatment. In many cases, I recommend and offer psychotherapy based on the initial assessment.

Together, we will begin to develop an individualized plan that will not only address your presenting problem, but will also give you the skills to cope with future difficulties as well.

In some instances, however, I will recommend services that are better provided by other professionals, and I will provide appropriate referral information.

How Many Sessions Will I Need?

Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy is a short-term, efficient treatment option. However, since each individual's challenges are unique, it is difficult to estimate the number of sessions you may personally need. When learning anything new, including counseling strategies that will be discussed in sessions, it is important to practice them outside of our time together for faster, better results.

What Is Your Cancellation Policy?

Should you need to cancel your appointment unexpectedly I require at least 24 hours notice. Clients are financially responsible for their missed session if the cancellation is given with less than 24 hours notice.

What Are Your Office Hours?

Daytime and evening office hours available weekly. By appointment only

What Are Your Credentials?

I am a licensed professional counselor. I received my masters in mental health counseling in 2013 from Capella University. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of New Jersey. I completed my internship at a center for eating disorders and worked with a variety of patients in multiple levels of care such as partial hospitalization and intensive outpatient. I have experience working in home with adolescents in various levels of crisis.

What Is Your Clinical Orientation?

My approach is eclectic, using primarily cognitive-behavioral techniques to help individuals understand the thoughts and feelings that influence behavior. I work collaboratively with clients to determine the best course of action in identifying triggers as well as developing coping skills to help alleviate symptoms.
